Imagine a learning environment where children learn math in smaller class sizes. A place where each student receives personalized instruction at an individual pace– where they have fun and learn to love math!
This is exactly what's been happening at Farmington View Elementary School for over 24+ years– and we have a long standing history of excellence in math test scores to show for it.
How do we do it? With fundraising efforts by the Farmington View Parents for Academic Excellence (FVPAE), and the ongoing support of staff, students, and our community. Each year we raise funds for a half-time math specialist to teach advanced math curriculum to qualified 4th-6th graders– while home room teachers provide regular math instruction. This benefits all students in these grades, and also ensures K-3 math classes are taught individual grade level math, despite various home room split classes.
How can you help? Please support our 2016 Jogathon by going to the CLASS DIRECTORY and selecting the class fundraising page of the child you are sponsoring. Each student has a goal of raising $150 (or more) to sponsor jogging laps in the event on May 17th, and to contribute to their class team goal. Let's help them make it happen!
We believe math is a fundamental building block to our education and future. Thank you for your support of our unique math program as we carry on our tradition of success.
